Just in case some younger readers don’t get this, the defendant is Moe Howard famously a member of the marvelous comedy trio, The Three Stooges who had a hilarious knack for ‘moidering’ the English language. Others also come to mind such as Slip Mahoney of The Bowery Boys and Kingfish of ‘The Amos & Andy Show’ who often complained of having pain in his sacro-crackerjack and in one episode where he was coincidentally a defendant in court said “Not only does I deny the allegation, I resents the alligator”.
