I don’t remember when I last saw a doggie bag (an actual bag with a picture of a dog on it, as some restaurants used to use), but I guess they still exist in this cartoon universe. When my wife and I eat out, leftovers go into takeout containers, and are consumed by us a day or two later for lunch or dinner. Helps defray some of the expense, by turning one night’s dining out into two meals.
My mother always taught me, “It’s a sin to waste food.” She was a very moral and ethical person, but she didn’t have a particularly long sin list. In fact, that was the only item on it.

I’ll have the deep-fried squirrel, and a for an appetizer, a dead skunk to roll on.

With the high prices, quantities on the plates have shrunk considerably …so , what’s on the menu for me? Woof!

One of those poor descriptor things… I keep expecting to see dogs in doggie bags – probably with toe tags.

But if the dog is right there, there’s no need for a take-home bag.
