Pickleball is a racket/paddle sport that was created by combining elements of several other racket sports.3 Two or four players use solid paddles to hit a perforated polymer ball over a net. The ball is much like a wiffle ball,4 with 26–40 round holes. A pickleball court is similar to badminton, with a net similar to tennis, and the paddles are similar to those in table tennis.

I remember playing Pickleball in P.E. when I was in high school. There was actually this one incident while we were playing and I accidentally whacked myself in the knee with my paddle, and I couldn’t walk for a while because of that. Fortunately, it was only temporary and I was able to walk again after a little while.
