Myrtle liked her leash and harness for walks at the park. She was a special, amazing cat. Miss her. Passed away at 19 years old.

The ex and I had a cat years ago that liked to go on long walks with us. No leash required. The cat would always follow behind but we could always see it in the distance. She made it home just in time to be let in when we arrived home.
Our younger cat was so good on leash he caught an inattentive mouse. Our older cat would go along on walks, not to be left out of perimeter patrol.
I had a Japanese Bobtail (my smartest pet of all time) who was better on leash than most dogs.
Also, Mom trained several of her cats to walk on leash.
