Brevity, They say (whoever They are) is the soul of wit. Therefore, I’ll endeavor to be at least half brief:

A salesman rings the doorbell, and the door is answered by a twelve-year-old boy with a cigar in his mouth. He has a glass of bourbon in his hand, and a Playboy magazine tucked under his arm.

“Hello, young man,” the salesman begins. “Is your mother home?”

The young man answers, “What do you think?”

    Vampire Bats

A vampire bat flies back to the roost with his face and mouth covered in blood. All the other bats got excited and asked where he got it.

“Follow me” he says. They flew over hills, a river and a dark forest.

    “See that tree over there?”

“Yes, yes” the others excitedly answered.

    “Well, I didn’t!”

Did you know my printer loves music? It’s true. It loves to jam. (That’s a joke. Someone actually made that up, and thought it was funny. At least it’s short!)

It seems the Ripley crew would prefer us to leave the planet. Okay then.

I would be interested to know what the PETA folks think of that sheep story. They think that shearing sheep is cruel. But the sheep went years without being shorn and was suffering. Shearing was merciful, not cruel.

In the Northeast Kingdom of VT we may still have human noise pollution but the birds and critters keep it in the background.

Vampire bats are one of only 2 mammals that can subsist on just blood – don’t forget trolls.

“I love my job!” exclaimed the farmer. “The peace, the sunshine, the animals in the fields!”

“All you do is boss me around all day!” complained one of his sheep.

“What did you say?” challenged the farmer.

The sheep glared back and growled, “You herd me.”

Now that it’s in this comic strip, people are going to build a high-rise luxury condo on the Hoh River, and divert an interstate or state highway over to it, maybe install an airport or two….
