    I had this problem! You end up being promoted but you donā€™t fit the mold. That doesnā€™t mean Iā€™m not weird, though.

    Itā€™s why I spent 40 years as a worker never becoming a supervisor. Iā€™ve been told I was weird not to promote.

    I supervised people twice in my career, once in a pizza place and once in a small metal trades job shop where my employees didnā€™t speak English. I managed to get along with the employees in both places and get the work done but I donā€™t think I ever impressed anyone as executive material. :)

    Having worked at a servo of a world wide petroleum company I can certify that choose any district manager (ā€œlooks afterā€ a group of servos in an area) you are 95% certain to get a mean, cr@ppy, dominating, self centred being.
