Oh how I miss the newspaper! It was my time to myself, before facing the day. Coffee and quiet (the family still asleep). The computer is not the same. Fosters Daily Democrat, I first subscribed in 1976. I was nineteen And witnessed the slow decline. Progress? Change is inevitable. I miss the newspaper in my hands.
i do not miss getting the ink all over my hands. Newspapers are good for putting on the floors when house training a puppy. The wet spots are easy to find.

Another downer, go to the comics instead.
On the other hand, it’s always good news to read the obituaries, and you name’s not there.

Checking the obituaries, first, is a great morale booster. If you aren’t listed your day is looking up, already!
