As a rule, cats don’t pay much attention to each other’s scat. However, when walking in the redwoods, Kirby would always dig a six-inch deep hole and thoroughly bury it. When he saw Johnny Depp dig a little trench, and just throw a couple of paw fulls of redwood humus on it, Kirby had to take action. He carefully buried it. I know he was telling Johnny Depp, “We’re in the wilds of the old growth, you must bury it deep and cover it well.”
However, Johnny Depp’s response was obvious, “No, no. You must dig quick, cover quicker and run far, far away.”
I think that was his response. It took us a few minutes to catch up with him … because he had run far, far away.
