When I was 14 (in 1977), we moved into a house with avocado fridge (side-by-side, with water-dispenser–though it was inside the fridge section) and matching-coloured double-ovened stove.
The fridge wore out (and was replaced with a regular top-and-bottom white Amana) in 1987, but the stove was still functional as of 2002 (we had tried to get it replaced, but it was near-impossible to remove), the last time I was actually in Calgary.

Do any avocado-green fridges (last I checked, their minimum age must be around 30) still function?

The one my folks had when I was a kid sure doesn’t. I was the one who had to get it hauled away.

Today’s panel looks suspiciously like my kitchen. The matching avocado-green electric stove should be just off panel to the left.

I’ve seen enough pleasingly plump Plugger dogs to conclude not many of them have to wait for suppertime for a treat to materialize….

Avacado-green fridge in the kitchen and a harvest-gold fridge in the garage.

Well McGehee, something we can relate on.

Addendum: the house we lived in prior to the one with green fridge had a yellow (“harvest gold”) top-and-bottom one!
