Why not donate the clothes to someone who would wear them?

That is what the dumpster is for.

Perhaps Arlo could suggest some other things not to wear anymore.

Leave Janis alone. Her clothes, she can do what she wants with them. She didn’t say she “couldn’t” wear them. When she reopens the box, she will decided then if she wants to donate them or put them back in circulation. Women keep clothes of different sizes because we fluctuate. I think everyone who wants her to donate, should spend this afternoon in their own closets and drawers. LOL

The sensible solution, of getting rid of them, is not allowed.

C’mon, we all KNOW they don’t fit anymore and she’s saving them til she “loses a few pounds” but doesn’t want to say that to Arlo.

You can bring them back down when she loses a bit of weight.

(begin sarcasm font) Can’t dispose of old clothing. Might be slim again one day and the style may become popular again. (end sarcasm font)

My wife frequently asks me to do stuff for her. I’m happy to do it. But she usually feels compelled to tell me WHY she wants things done before I can go ahead & do it. If WHY informs HOW I do what she wants, then it’s useful information. Otherwise, it just delays my doing the job. As Arlo says, it’s a “need to know” thing.

Thongs mean a totally different thing now.

One box is labelled “Old Stuff”. The other is labelled “Even Older Stuff”.

Our attic is filled with clothes “for the yard sale” she has been going to do for the last twenty five years. Plus.

If it stays up there for more than 18 months then it’s time to donate them.

We have boxes in the attic that I put there when we moved in. I have no idea what is in them, and now I don’t have a second person to help me get them down. D’oh!

Arlo is too depressed to be reminded of that skimpy négligée that he never gets to see her in anymore.
