    What does Petey hear that leads to his remark in panel 3? Chop! Chop! on the kitchen chopping block, preparing to boil and then drench the “flower stem” sections in melted butter? Maybe sprinkle with grated cheese?

    How does one prepare a Wild Artichoke for dinner (I have personal experience sighting and photographing the Wild Artichoke, but none in making food of it)?
