I once had a plastic bug toy bug collection which included a cockroach. My late mother was terrified of those critters. So for her sake, I put the cockroach into some little box and put that away somewhere out of her sight. Then some months or years of time later, Mom wanted that box for something which I gave her. Upon opening the box, she let out quite shrill. I guess we had both forgotten about the cockroach in there.
