Yes, yes they would. That day was the start. It was a long bloody road just to get to the Constitution after that day, and a longer bloodied road to keep a republic but unlike most countries ours has a birthday. There are those that today condem the actions of our founding fathers on this day, then demand the very rights spelled by the very Constitution they seek to destroy. Rights they would not even be aware of without the founding fathers risks and sacrifice.

One that restricts people from traveling to other states, one that imposes fines and tax burdens on private companies that show disloyalty, One that wants to outlaw homosexual relationships, restrict reproductive rights, pull books from library shelves and dictate what can be taught in schools? One where votes and voters are suppressed and overridden?

A country like that?

I will now offer, the only thing that America can do about all this gun violence, my thoughts and prayers.

And look how well that 2nd Amendment is working out in Chicago. I am sure that militia man had some well deserving targets.
