Hey, the average handy man could easily unclog a drain with tweezers, a nail file … and a hammer (a meat tenderizing hammer with do in a pinch). :) :) :)
Use a bucket first to remove most of the water and then flush it down the commode. (Check to make sure the W.C. is working first, of course – it could be a backup in the building, not just her apartment).

You might be able to get some of the gunk out with tweezers; however, you may want to call Dad.

Long nose tweezers work fine for me. Most of the time.
