I couldn’t find the article (it’s a few years old), but I think it was in Germany that they started padding light posts, sign posts etc. because people kept walking into them when they were looking at their phones.

I’ve seen this. Ashamed to admit I laughed (after she got up off the sidewalk.)

Some people do this when they are driving

And others fall into open manholes.

“Brightness” refers to ambient conditions, Lola. Not to people — though some could use a little more.

Seen a teenage punk on a bike do that. Ran into the pole, knocked him, the phone went into the street and was run over. I never laughed so hard in my life.

I think they should put in more posts and columns, of any kind
