When I was a kid (back in the ’60s), I used to read the Sunday comics while lying on the kitchen floor (linoleum, of course) and drinking pink grapefruit juice. My mother had to step over me as she puttered in the kitchen.
Ginger was a shoulder cat? Didn’t know that. I’ve had nine cats in my adult life, only two were really able to get comfortable on my shoulders. It’s cute.

There you go Lennie. Chuck the news and enjoy the comics. Great mood enhancer.

The comics and the sports pages. Only reasons I still get the SF Chronicle!
