I think the country is in the state that it’s in now partly because of removal of prayer from schools.

If you don’t pay attention in class that doesn’t work.

I so appreciate the creators of this comic reinforcing the idea that school is a GOOD thing. I wish the Grand Avenue creators had more of that attitude. There are so many children (think of the girls in Afghanistan, for instance) who would love, love, love to have the opportunity for an education.

I’m not Catholic but it warms my heart to see this.

I didn’t even study for tests. My mom would come home from some meeting (not necessarily school related) and tell me that Mrs. So and so complains about how many tests we get and how much her children have to study. Mom wanted to know why I don’t have all these tests to study for. “Well, we have tests all the time. Study for them? I just take them.”
