There is an old series of books called “Wild Cards”. George R.R. Martin started them. There are several different authors that contribute though. I have only read a single short story that was in an anthology, so my info about the series as a whole is probably off. The main character in the story I read had a power that made her indestructible. At least falling 5 stories didn’t hurt her. She kept jumping off so she could build up fat. Each time something hit her she would get fatter. She was going into battle and would need the extra ammunition. What was the ammunition? Her fat!! She had the ability to pull the fat off of herself and throw it like a cannonball. So Agnes’ imagination is actually not that far-fetched.

Yes, she’s like Medusa—so ugly that one look at her turns people into stone.

She is a Champion of Justice in the aisles of the local Walmart.

Interestingly, “sherara” sounds close to a word which means “spark” in Arabic, and also to “Sherreerah” which means “evil woman” – good choice (´∀`)b
