I’ve known women who marinated in some of that stuff before coming to work. Stunk up the whole office, and it didn’t matter what it was, it was just wretchingly excessive.
Back in the days when husband went to work, he would put on stuff he called “after shave” and then kiss me goodbye. He would not believe me when I said it gave me a headache.
I have the same problem as the pup, and I don’t have the same nose. Some perfume/cologne gives me an asthma attack. I’ve had to stop my workout at the gym, leave the restaurant before done eating, and exit the grocery store before done shopping because of these inconsiderate people. Another reason I don’t fly anymore. Ugh.
I was walking my dog after 8:00 the other night and came home with the beginning of a headache because a large section of one street was doing laundry, taking advantage of lower evening Hydro rates. Unfortunately everyone uses highly-scented chemical-laced laundry products— they think they smell great when you encounter them in public, but only leave a trail of offensive odour. Hooray for Tide/Downy unscented!
It’s for this reason that when I take my cat for grooming, I ask for unscented shampoo. I cannot imagine an animal, with a much more sensitive nose, enjoys being a perfume cloud.

Had a boss who wore MUSK! Luckily, I can handle the smell of skunk.

A scent of a woman should be only noticeable when you are close. Now that’s sexy.

Perfume is expensive. The $1 stuff is toilet water.
