Fun Story: I was taking a Intro to Statistics class… the teacher was explaining how playing the same lottery #s had no effect, since in essence each week was a whole new game and therefore the chances “reset” themselves. I kept debating “SURELY on SOME INFINITISMAL level, it makes a difference ??” Nope, she wasn’t relenting.Well, later that week I went into the store to buy my weekly lotto ticket. I thought about what she said and decided to not play my usual numbers… Welp, guess what happened ? FIVE out of the SIX numbers I had been playing every week came up !! I was SO upset — went into the next class and told the teacher she owed me $550 !! Well, at least all six of my numbers didn’t come up — that REALLY would’ve hurt. Haven’t really played lotto since – I figured that had been my chance !!
