I was in awe the first time I saw a guys active ant farm and how well the ants had different roles to carry out….There was even a spot placed in a separate section for their dead, and I saw one ant carrying a dead one there to add to the collection. They run a well organized society for sure !

As a kid, I had an ant farm I sent away for from an ad in a comic book. The ants didn’t live very long (there was no queen). I sent away for Sea Monkeys too. They lasted a little longer than the ants..

Don’t tell that to the kid that appears from time to time in this strip.

Ants. I took my trash can down to the street early yesterday morning, and about halfway down the driveway I realized that it was covered in ants. They chewed my left hand until it’s now covered with itchy bumps.

The Queen is everyone’s mama, but the only males in the nest are a few drones for the Queen. All the rest of the ants are neuter females.
