Were his loans not backed by the government? I know that loans made to former students of ITT Tech, backed by the government, were forgiven. Obama’s Dept.. of Education said that ITT Tech’s method’s were fraudulent. (Trump’s Secretary of Education, DeVoe, tried to walk it back, courts would let her, Biden’s Dept. of Education reaffirmed it, has gone farther, trying to reign in private schools enticing students to take out loans for courses that get them nowhere.)
