Its been over half a century since I saw a lot of people smoking cigars, outside of a cigar store. My late Uncle Jack, a veteran of Patton’s army, poker player, bowler, golfer, Babe Ruth league coach, and worker at the most chemically polluting plant in the U. S., (but he lived to 80) had a cigar with a wrapper on that I chewed a bit as a little kid—made me sick to the stomach. Never done anything with tobacco products since! Good lesson to learn very early.

Good for you. No tobacco smoking around food, it ruins the taste. Depending on the food, that night be a good thing.

It’s not so much the detector as what happens when it goes off.

It’s so nice of a smoke detector to give a warning before it goes off.
