I don’t get it…

Mythbusters tested a theory that pirates wore eyepatches so their eyes would adjust quickly when they went from bright outside to dark holds in ships. I think they determined it was plausible.

Interesting name for a movie…

Mythbusters theorized (and proved) that that was the reason for pirates to wear eye patches. They’d switch the patch to the uncovered eye when in the dark spots in the ships, then they could see better.

Oh they joy of walking into a theater and having to wait by the door until your eyes adjusted to the dark.

oh yeah. next time with the grandkids – only all five of them will have to keep their eyes shut.

Just what every old person needs, a seeing eye grandkid.

I don’t understand …

For husband and I sit further back in a movie theater if and when we go, I sit on the end so I can do what I need and try not to climb over anyone, while waiting I can see well enough to read a book.
