I used to work at this place that received a fake $100 bill in payment for something. Instead of giving that funny money to the bank so the various legal groups that trace funny money could be involved, they just put it on the cork board with a tack that note that said “Don’t accept fake money.”

This is why criminals get away with stuff. Because most people don’t want to take the effort to do what they need to in order for a criminal to get caught.

There used to be a strip called RETAIL that was good and it ended as the creator retired, I guess. Anyway this strip is even better. Fairly realistic from what I’ve read and seen personally.

At one of my wife-to-be’s early stores, she had a guy bring in a forged prescription. She asked him to wait while she filled it, and had the tech call police. The officer came over, the guy got up, turned around and put his hands behind his back; clearly an old “pro”.

Pretty stupid criminal. If you’re going to try to pass a fake bill or use a stolen credit card you should probably not call attention to yourself
