They are “lecterns”. What you stand on is the podium. And I didn’t even make it to the first round in “Jeopardy”. Sigh…

If they let losers back during Second Chance, Agnes may have a shot.

To make that kind of money, she’ll have to have a very fast trigger finger and go “All In” a lot; little Agnes tends to go “All Under”…

Don’t worry, Aggie; they might give you credit for a wrong answer, like they did with Holzhauer in ’19, to wit:

AT: “These two ironclads fought a famous battle in the American Civil War” (or something along those lines).

JH: “What were the Monitor and the Merrimack?” (Though in his head he was probably seeing the popular misspelling of the latter, sans the k).

    AT: “Correct.”

No, it’s not. The USS Merrimack was burned to the waterline & scuttled in April 1861 when the US Navy abandoned Norfolk Navy Yard just after the traitors fired on Fort Sumter.

The treasonous navy raised the keel – all that was left – and used it to build their ironclad, the CSS Virginia; at the time of the Battle of Hampton Roads, the Merrimack hadn’t existed for almost a year.

Famous Phrases… This weather-related phrase is used to express the concept of ignorance.

“What is I don’t have the foggiest idea?”

    Correct

    “What?”

I see Agnes as the young female version of Cliff Clavin. “Who are three people who have never been in my kitchen ?”

Jeopardy contests stand on platforms that they can raise. That’s why there’s little height discrepancies among them. My friend who was on the show told me that.
