Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
When I was in high school (and had been collecting comic books for roughly a decade), I sometimes heard fans talking about how good the Donald Duck comic books by a man named Barks were. I paid little attention to that. Then, about 20 years ago, I ended up paying a LOT of money for bound collections of something called “The Carl Barks Library.” Good comic books don’t all have to be about people in tights.
It’s like a zombie apocalypse where everything seems fine, but then you realize everyone is connected to one giant zombie plant thing with its roots, and then once you find out, they start chasing you and chanting, “JOIN US!! JOIN UUSSSSSSSS!!! (in a whispering voice) insert name here. And then you wake up and the movies over.

I’ll give everyone a dollar if they stop saying “The lore is quite complex.” (Maybe)

Heart of the City’s lore is quite complex.

Complex lore does not equal good (necessarily). How’s the art?

An analog of “Adventure Time” would have been better, in my opinion of course.

This starts to sound like one of those science fiction stories where someone brainwashes everyone to make them love something.
