Awww! Kat always melts my heart when she’s trying to navigate her attraction to Lee. The sweet innocence and uncertainty of first love are so endearing. (Kat is my favorite character anyway. She has a lot in common with my favorite cousin, also named Kat.)
I do relate to both of them here as anime has taken my brain over before.. as have embarassing crushes. But come on Kat, make a move don’t freak. She clearly likes you.
That said at least it’s clear from this arc something’s going to give soon here. It’s also ironic Kat’s so nervous given we know for a fact Lee feels the same way about her. So it’s a question of if Lee is REALLY that oblivious, just letting Kat confess at her own pace, or genuinely thinks Kat knows her feelings are returned and doesn’t know how much anxiety Kat has. Either way after a fairly disapointing arc and a funny if brief filler arc, this is a LOVELY change of pace.
It’s early in your life, especially when it comes to situations like this, but a famous person once said, “It is better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all.”
