Ahh that’s so sweet. Lucy is displaying her motherly instincts by worrying about the neighbor dog’s health and safety! And like a typical bigger sister, is totally unconcerned about her pipsqueak little brother’s health and security.
That is because dogs, and cats, are what they are. No matter what empathic or human qualities we project on them. Humans make choices, good or bad. But have the capacity to always do good. But invariably, we do not. I love my pets. But they are what they are. I expect, no, demand more of humans. I am often disappointed.
