That’s right. And the thought of my first cup of coffee and morning emails.

I would sleep all morning if I didn’t have to pee.

Scurrying in the dark add an extra thrill. Unfortunately, when you least need it.

I wake up at dawn, hang around hoping for more sleep for a while, then work on waking up my dog. “Wanna get up?” “No.” wait a while…“Wanna get up?” “No. Pet me.” wait a while…“Wanna get up?” I think I am very lucky to have a dog who sleeps so well. I get up, get ready, get her out and we walk far enough that she comes home, eats, and sleeps a few more hours. But bottom line, I would say the bathroom really gets me up, even if the sun wakes me up.

Tea. Earl Grey. Hot. And a pair of loquacious Siameses howling at the top of their lungs, “Feed me, feed me niaow.” And then the doggos wanting hugs and pets and their food. And the chickens needing feeding and eggs needing gathering. And Mrs. Jenkins little boy who broke his leg falling down the stairs being late for school. Like Captain Pike, “I love this job.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7m9o5jOIYK0
