The fact that Tom Brady doesn’t seem to be having too much fun playing this year compared to other years, might be a combination of his age, personal concerns, and the dysfunction of his team.
Aaron Rogers, on the other hand, looks just miserable! He hasn’t looked like he’s had any fun playing football for a couple of years now.
When the joy of playing a sport goes out of it, then you have to ask yourself why you are still subjecting yourself to all the stress and pain of playing. With these guys, it can’t be for the money – They’re loaded! Time for a new career, guys…
They’re both wrong. It’s not the number of games, it’s the effort to replace. An NFL team starts an over-the-hill QB, they’re likely to be stuck with him for the rest of the season if not longer. An NBA team starts an over-the-hill player, they can just reduce his minutes. Easier now than in the past because of the emphasis on 3s instead of scoring in the post.
