Parents never bought any of those “nonsense” items. Mr. Bubbles. Jiffy Pop. TV Dinners. Soda was 7-Up when you were sick. Ice cream was for birthdays & holidays. Etc. Never felt deprived, it was only as a grown adult, managing the family budget, that I realized we teetered on the edge of Middle-Middle Class becoming Lower-Middle Class or Upper Lower Class! The things you learn!!!
