I grew up in a large Air Force family. My Dad, a noncommissioned officer, had to constantly remind us that frugality is the cheapest but most profitable virtue. Even today, if I don’t plan ahead and wind up buying water at a gas station, I hear his voice inside my head saying, “You paid a dollar for WHAT!” .

Like Cathy I can still hear my parents words quite often. Like if someone tells me to leave my shoes on when I enter their home I hear my mother telling me to take them off – so I do.

Feeling much better today. Seems like my body needs one day to recover from the chemo session. I think I can handle that.

Nice winter day today – very cold but the sun is shining. The ice huts on the lake have multiplied and villages are finally starting to form – over 2 weeks later than normal. I guess that means it is now officially January.I hope everyone is having a nice, warm day today.
