In other words, no choice. It might not be what you want, but I doubt it’s really all that bad. You’ll be fine. Maybe you can steal or mooch a treat later.

you can ride any horse in the stable, as long as it is the one in the 1st stall.

That doesn’t work with my dog- – if she don’t want it-she don’t eat it and in a couple of days I throw it away! She’s almost 11- this is how she has always been.

I’m so appreciative of the people who explained this. I was trying to figure out what choice the butler in the movie ‘Arthur’ had. ;)

My dachshunds ate by the following rules. Our other dogs, who were rescue dogs, were never picky, lol. (We had rescue dachsies, too, but they followed these rules). (1) If it is canned food, devour it immediately and try to steal everyone else’s. (2) If it is dry food, stare at it as if you’ve never seen such a thing before. (3) Try some from the bowl of the dog next to you to make sure it’s the same (4) Leave the room, but sneak back in and eat a bit of it when nobody’s watching. (5) Return often to the kitchen to beg for treats as if you are starving.

My Mom used to say that, except she wasn’t talking to the dog.
