    Colors are overrated with this King’s carol:

    Dog’s life is not a tapestry

    Of rich and royal hue

    Their colourblind eye’s vision

    Makes them have no clue

    And wond’ring what the map means

    With green, mauve and yellow

    They rather take a sniff than see

    When on a trip they go

    Dogs aren’t really color blind. People have three types of cones, while dogs have two. This means that people can normally identify three color combinations (red, blue, and green), while dogs are limited to two (yellow and blue).

    Directions for dogs should be in smells and “landmarks” like bushes, trees, fire hyrdrants…..
