The fact is that the GQP will never actually be able to “prove” anything to anyone outside of their rabid MAGAt base. If they think that Hunters laptop will produce a “smoking gun” against Joe Biden that will result in his being not only impeached, but convicted, they are fooling themselves. If they believe that using any “evidence” found on that laptop will result in a criminal indictment of anyone, they are fooling themselves. Reason being, Chain of custody. Was the laptop turned over to any law enforcement agency when the supposed owner never returned to pick it up? Is there any proof that it was Hunter Bidens personal laptop? Exactly who had physical custody of that laptop? When? For how long? Without any proof of who had custody and for how long, how can anyone be sure that everything found on it was placed there by the alleged owner Hunter Biden? If anything was found on that laptop that resulted in impeaching Joe Biden, or an indictment of his son, any competent defense lawyer would be able to get it thrown out. And every single GQP House member who has a license to practice law knows that. And will not stop them from using it to impeach Joe Biden. Because in Trumpworld, perception outweighs reality, Kelly Anne Conway’s “alternate facts” aka lies, will be presented on Fox Opinion and RW Propaganda Network as irrefutable facts.
And the oh so under educated, willfully ignorant, gullible MAGAt members of Trumpworld, will believe every single made up “fact”. Because the Party of Trump/GQP will never be dissuaded by facts presented by anyone outside of Trump world.
The qooks would have it that the repair shop tech turned it over to the FBI and somehow, it got from there to the care/custody/possession of Rudy Giuliani, of all people. (2 versions: one that he has the whole laptop, the other that he just has the hard drive). Nothing about how that happened- whether the FBI took it to him and said Here, Rudy, hang onto this for us, or if came to him by nefarious means. If the latter, I think they would want it back.
