When I was a child and reading this strip, I never picked up on the undercurrents of the Charlie Brown and Peppermint Patty interactions.

This is another look into Patty’s fascinating character. She might be a tomboy, but she’s actually a pretty sensitive little girl. She hasn’t had the benefit of learning how to handle her feminine emotions from her mother. Schultz did a great job building Patty.
