I hope you all had an absolutely wonderful Christmas. I certainly did. I got some lovely gifts and the Christmas meal was gorgeous. Thank you to everybody who sent E-Cards back to me and a special shout out to JH&Cats for those two beautiful cards that I received on my birthday and Christmas from the “Jacquie Lawson” website. I’m so grateful and happy to receive them! Here are a couple of photos of me “wearing” one of my Christmas presents!

Some of you may know that I donated blood on 13th Dec. I still have yet to hear where in the UK it’s been sent to. I had a dream about receiving the text message on Christmas Day stating where it had gone but sadly that didn’t happen in real life. It was such a lovely dream. My blood group is O+ and there’s always a great need for that. The longest it’s ever taken for me to receive an update was 16 days.
Speaking of that dream – It’s now time to dream again. Goodnight all. Hope you like the photos.
@Number three Today’s strip is funny, our HERO Mr Andrew Capp’s dislike for Flo’s mum is classic :o) . my avatar again is a picture of our fav actor Rowan Atkinson as Mr Bean grinning because he’s in a good mood like I am, how was your day? our Manic Monday should be quite calm, we both are in a good mood and with no shopping to do or errands to run , because it’s boxing day we are staying inside the house and keep hydrated because it’s cold outside, keep safe and thanks for caring young lady
If my daughter married someone like Andy Capp, I, too, would be hugely disappointed. But, unlike Flo’s mom, I would try to keep it to myself. (I think).
One of the tellers I worked with came into the bank with a bad case of laryngitis. A priest who knew her came to my station and she waved to him. She was a great talker, so I explained her silence by saying, "Debbie has a terrible problem today Father. She can’t talk ". His response was, “That must be a tremendous blessing to her husband!”
Compared to yesterday today was pretty boring. But I’ve found that Boxing Day always is. Same with New Year’s Day too. I will be getting myself out tomorrow otherwise I’ll be climbing the walls. It’s weird, I used to absolutely love time off school but now after only a few days I just want to be back because my routine has been temporarily put on hold. I’m already looking forward to going back to my volunteering jobs on 3rd & 4th of Jan.
I hope you had a great Christmas, Affie. Sorry to hear that your sons were unable to join you (if I remember right) On 18th January I’ll be at the carvery again. This time I’ll be ordering dessert and hopefully my points will come through to get £10 off.
Stay safe, stay well, stay warm and stay happy, pal.

The thought is there, Andy. Even if the words aren’t.

Andy needs to read between the lines to find out that Flo’s mum really, really disapproves of Andy. Even the pauses between the words are unfavorable.

She probably smacked Andy on the head with the sign after she showed it to him.

Was that in all caps? Probably.

Even with laryngitis, unseen MIL isn’t at a loss for words.

Haha! I love it. Much better than sending a boring text message.

Not even laryngitis can keep Flo’s Mum from dissing Andy.

Since no one said it, there’s a purple pot again. Not “The” pot, but part of a matching set?
