I bought cheap food for my kitten, she got pica.

I went back to the good stuff, she got better. Now I mix the cheap with the good one, and add a little bit of a third, more expensive food, kinda like a topping, or dessert.

I save money, she’s happy & healthy.

Still jumps to the table whenever I’m eating, to try to get to MY food, however. Every single time. With a full bowl, even. Li’l bugger.

Maybe this is the entire problem. Harry hates this cheapo food and won’t eat it and since he can’t tell you in words, he tells you by action. Piddling on everyone’s beds. Now get rid of this cheapo stuff and get him his regular cat food and if it solves the problem you can be thankful to be spared the high vet bills.

This could be an “Aha!” Moment.

And to think, my cats eat VERY expensive kibble due to dietary requirements. “Slaughterhouse Surprise”? Must have tongue, eyeballs, brains, etc in it…stuff humans would never eat. And we expect our pets to eat it?

store brand tuna is less than most pet food, just buy him that.

The tiny mouse feet are the best part. Mow!

Yeah, that would do it, all right. Cats are infamous for being very picky about their food.

Dollar store food?! For shame. Tsk! Poor Harry .. Mow?

Mystery solved. You never change a pet’s food cold turkey.

Cat food as well as dog food is in short supply.
