Hope you tightened the brake cables. Being able to stop may be more important than being able to go.
The first mount can be the hardest.
Women’s bikes are SO much easier to mount!
At least I can get on my bike, I just can’t pedal because the knees are gone.
The added exercise of bike riding might do him some good then, as it’d help exercise (and thereby loosen up) those stiff joints.
Assuming he can ever get started, of course.
