A friend was killed on his bike several years ago. When you ride on public streets, you’re betting that every driver is attentive and doesn’t have a grudge against the world.

I try to be careful and considerate around bikers. But when I was working near Raleigh and working 12 hr days, 6 days a week every Sunday there were 2 cyclists who would ride next to each other down the middle of the lane on a twisty road. But instead of running them over I settled for laying on my horn until they’d finally move over.
