I wish there werenât so many moving in. So much land destroyed because of ânew homesâ being built. There is 6 new subdivisions going up each one neighboring the other. One is a 55 + .
My parents, and many of their friends, did the snowbird thing. For 20+ years, they spent 6 months in metro Phoenix in their condo. And then, six months in their house in North Dakota. Theyâd head south in mid-November or early December, and come back up north around April or Mayâ all intended to miss out on the long and grey North Dakota winters and the sub-zero temperatures. Lots of their friends did the same for decades. My Mom would get tired of the noise, traffic, crime, and the excessively long time it took to get anywhere in Phoenix. My Dad enjoyed the lack of worry, lack of yardwork, and lack of snow shoveling in Arizona. But neither of them wanted to move there permanently as their house, most of their family, and most of their friends were âup northâ in North Dakota.
Talked to my sister today in southern Florida, she was saying it was 59 overnight. Here it is snowing. Even so, I am feeling sorry for her. Itâs not just DeSantos, itâs all the stupidity that voted for him.

Considering the pressure on your checkbook may help alleviate that.

I donât understand people who move to Florida on purpose. Live in warm/hot weather all the timeâ-JUST UGH!

We live in Florida (the southern, non-fascist part). The minute we retire, we are getting the frack out of here.

I donât think I would move permanently to Florida. I might consider overwintering somewhere in the Caribbean, though.

It would take an awful lot to get me to move away from Az.
