Funny, the chore that dad has picked and the amount of money he thinks of, is about the same as I did and got when I wanted extra cash. Although I saved it to buy a radio/cassette recorder, I wasn’t into fashion.
We weren’t paid for doing chores. As members of the household, we were expected to do our chores. Nor any allowance. We were already getting a roof over our head, regular meals, clothed, rides to school, sports and extracurricular activities, holiday gifts, and occassionally pocket money. I’m grateful for how I was raised.
