This sounds like something that Weather Channel guy who is always out in the middle of everything should say.

Saying that into a hot mike will get you fired. When the newscaster says “…be safe out there.” the feed continues but local stations know to cut in with their own content. If the tech misses that window, the feed goes through as is.

“Garrrrrrr-yyyyy!!”

Because they are not concerned. Just do your job and talk when we tell you to …
