The good old days at Twitter.

And that’s the last time he stayed late and worked so hard.

Typical!

That would show a bad good president.

What a caring boss!

Then I would immediately stop staying late and working hard immediately!

Where have I heard that one before !

Would be better as simply “do as good a job as you do.” No need to use the tired trope that doing well requires staying late.

Anything to make an employee feel worthless…

Why not? If you work hard and accomplish a lot, your pay should reflect that. It’s up to the others to keep up with you.

Your current pay is your “participation award” we wouldn’t want you to feel special.

Instead we are rewarding you by giving you all of their work
