Where I work, the self-checkouts are always yelling at people. People do not pay attention to what is said nor do they read the instructions on the screen. Customers ignore the big sign that says it’s the bagging area and dump their stuff there before scanning. That gets the self-checkout screaming. If customer has a problem, they abandon that self-checkout and go to another and screw that up, too! It also seems like the self checkouts are set up to be annoying, esp. when it comes to coupons. Understaffing does not help the chaos. This rant could go on forever…

Turns out that the people checkouts were smarter than the machine checkouts. Who could have guessed?

A.I. Can’t live with it, can’t live without it.

Should be more like, ‘Bag it up lady!’

Forced to use self checkout. Only took 3 associates and 30 minutes to get thru, so darned convenient.
