This was the premise of a made-for-TV movie a long time ago – the crew of an American warplane in the North African desert.

What happened?

No one to bother him. No hunger. No thirst. The gentle crash of the waves. The sea breeze. He made it to heaven!

Is he supposed to be a guardian angel that got there too late?

Your work there is done.

Poor guardian angel.

So, he died and went to Heaven?

Dude! You’ve got wings, use them!

No angel would be dirty as they are like ghosts.

I can only assume he’s enjoying the solitude (he can relax, since he longer has to worry about physical concerns such as thirst or hunger or pain), and therefore he’s in no hurry to ascend to Heaven.

Same person? one corporeal and one spiritual?
