From the very first time I have taken my dogs to the vet, I have treats and a happy anticipatory voice saying “Oh boy! Were going to the vet! It’s sooo much fun! Come on let’s go!” It works best if they have never been before, but even the one adopted older enjoyed getting there and of course leaving.
our last cat would make a hellacious racket on the way to the vet (and we had to take him to the vet way too many times) and then fall asleep on the way home…
