Death is a theme lately in Lio …

For ol’ Grimmy, there is always “Slow death” comics.

I’d bet money Tatulli contemplated reversing the papers, then decided to soften it. I LOVE Lio, but when he’s off his meds, he’s the sort who WOULD laugh at a “World in Turmoil” headline.

(Hey, I just invented a joke. What kind of oil will the world never run out of? Turmoil! Mark, you can have that one for free.)

But Lio is laughing at the comics, not the news headlines. Lio is still pretty innocent in this cartoon.

Actually, the first version of this strip had LIO as he is and Death laughing over the Obituaries. Then I started to think, what about the people who have a loved one in the obits that day. So I changed Death’s headline to something just as ominous, but less personal.

I like the first version better.

Then again, I’m a twisted little f…..

Well, Lio and the Grim Reaper kind of fit together for best friends. Hey, both of them love death, right?

Is Grim reading the obituraries or just the general news? Because at least the obits are full of people who are no longer suffering this world…
