Daddy’s condition seems to be going downhill.

For those of you who do not find the Bliss/Martin cartoons up to par, there’s a great one in the New Yorker this week that might change your minds. Two eagle-type birds are flying high over Bliss’ traditional rural fields-and-windbreaks scene with his customary Mt, Monadnock-style mountain in the far distance, and one bird is saying to the other “Whatever you do, don’t look like a balloon.”
